Got that all OK?
Well, for my money, it was an excellent run! COLD BEER, plenty of it - Budgen's 2 litre bottles - 3.4% quite tasty and a few Ruddles for emergencies!
Oh the run! - AAaargh - just over the 2 hours on the hottest day .. EVER.
The hares: "We started at 10:15 were back by 11:30" - "Bollocks!" even that pair of Front Running Bastards can't get round 7 miles that quick!
With Supa - he ex of the constabulary persuasion - therefore of doubtful parentage, and Dissa - who does (d-appear that is), starting a run within sight of Leith hill and not taking us up anything more steep than a roadside verge is indeed impressive, but despite improbable flatness the run was surprisingly interesting and varied. A couple of straight on checks gave way to a real Hash Turning Back Check, and this set the pattern - a couple of simples followed by a bastard which mostly had the desired effect.
There were constant groans of "Still going out!" at 12:45 and then again at 13:15! Predictions from GPSers that a figure of eight was on the cards didn't come to pass - did it? - maybe it did but it floated past me.

The GM suddenly appeared at the "real back check", trying to convince J-Arthur and I that there were no paths back along the trail for miles, but lo and behold there was the trail and really not that far from a VERY obvious back check contender that everyone (me included) ignored as ridiculous!
The best site I saw all day was the On-In at 13:10, closely followed by that COLD BEER!
With the GM sitting down suffering from lack of alcohol (I assume) Bonn B did pre-hares, hares and visitors: White Fang - Milan, Kiwi Fruit - Rome, Tight Wad - Japan? "Richard" - CL's nephew and Me for doing what only women can do - two things at once - but during her circle! Gibber took taking on Arfur Pint's absence with enthusiasm, and grew tits for the occasion, giving out the excellent COLD BEER to all sorts: Chuderos for un-harriette like behaviour (belching unseemly) Short An - this week's GPS victim, Country Bumpkin for mis-information, Tako Belle for ? Me for running in pre-hstoric sandels - COLD BEER! The GM revived enough to give Country Bumpkin his birthday present from "the Wife".. a Red Dress! Hmmm.
